This is Paulina Ampadu, an Account Manager here at Empire Management Group. She’s a 24-year-old immigrant who moved to the U.S. from Mozambique two years ago. Coming from a primarily Portuguese-speaking country, English wasn’t something you’d really hear her speak outside of work, so stepping into a completely new environment pushed her in ways she never expected.
Before this, she was a teacher at an inclusive international school following the Cambridge curriculum. She’s always had a deep passion for educating and nurturing young people, and that experience really shaped who she is (patient, driven, and people-focused.)
When she moved, she knew she wanted something different. She wanted a career that would challenge her, push her out of her comfort zone, and give her the freedom to build passive income, retire early, travel the world, and give back through voluntary work.
That’s exactly what she found with Empire Management Group.
Being here forced her to grow fast. She discovered that she’s actually really good at connecting with people and selling solutions-something she didn’t fully realize until she was put in that environment. Through Empire Management, she’s been able to build strong skills in communication, leadership, and problem-solving, all while working toward a managerial position that allows her to grow financially and help others do the same.
She didn’t start off as the most outgoing person. She’s naturally introverted, a total nerd (books and anime are her thing), and she used to be the definition of a wallflower. But being in a space that constantly challenged and supported her helped her break out of that shell. Now, she’s someone who speaks up, shares ideas, and confidently leads from the front.
